a nice day out

Daisies and fences are two of the things I love to draw and collect photos of.
Here I have combined them. They are painted in acrylics on canvas samples.

Two of my obsessive drawing and photographic subjects are daisies and fence posts. Here are a few of my latest offerings.

It was a wonderful trip just recapping all the places I have spent so long in, when bushwalking was more of an option.

I was fascinated by these tiny dots of colour among the grandeur of the landscape

I have just spent two weeks in the Kimberley.
In Winjana Gorge were lots of crocodiles. Luckily they were fresh water crocs and relatively harmless but to see so many in one place was surprising.
Many more photos to come.

These penguin chicks are so tiny, they each weighed 30grams. Its that time of the year again, penguins pairing up, laying eggs and generally getting into spring fever. 

two of my baskets 

This weaving contains a photo of the reeds and grasses before they were picked. I intend taking photos of this piece as it gradually dries. then I will make it into the front cover of a book containing the gradual drying process along with some appropriate words.
I have also been making baskets...not your traditional beautifully crafted baskets but baskets with character, containing reeds, grasses, silver birch stems and various raw silks. Photos coming soon.
